CHARLOTTE DESGRÉES DU LOÛ
Technique: Acrylic on Wood
CHARLOTTE DESGRÉES DU LOÛ
Raised in a very creative family environment, she grew up loving art and beauty. First trained by a painter mother, she then tried to find her own way as an artist in an atelier, without any academical training.
She is currently living in Senegal since 2018, and her work has evolved tremendously thanks to this country who inspires her everyday. Patterns, colors, lines…
Every wooden support is handmade, without any machinery , by a joiner she has been working with for 5 years now. She first draws her pieces and then paints on these pieces with a very peculiar technique. She begins with the meticulous application of a primer, to then play with the colors and the transparency of the acrylics. Finally, the piece is properly waxed in order to protect it and give it its final aspect, velvety and slightly shiny.
