SERGE KIS

Kiswendsida Serge Doamba was born in Burkina Faso in 1989. He was born deaf and went to a school for hearing-impaired children in Burkina. From the age of 8, he was interested in art, drawing as often as he could. In 2007, he arrived in Mbour, Senegal, to study with a gourd artist.

In 2009, he began working at the Renaissance des Sourds school as an art teacher.

In 2015, Serge spent 2 months in the United States studying different art styles with 7 different artists. He continues to create varied works using different techniques.
