MBAYE SOW

Technique: AQUARELLE

MBAYE SOW

Mbaye Sow left school at an early age to take up painting. From an early age, he was immersed in an artistic environment where painting, plastic arts and drawing were predominant.

A self-taught artist, he began by drawing sketches of baobabs. Later, he created his own canvases, influenced by the work of his father Ousmane Sow, also a painter. Initially surprised by the novelty of artistic expression, he deepened his reflection by seeking the link between brush and pen, the origin of the artist's style. Always in search of perfection and osmosis with painting, the artist broadened his techniques. Black pencil is thus complemented by color, watercolors and acrylics.

His works reflect his country's heritage, exploring the historical character of Senegal's ancient cities to increase their visibility.
