MARIZA

Marie Dione ( MARIZA) is an artist based in Senegal, and a graduate of the École Nationale des Arts. She also holds a master's degree in Sociology from the Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar. 

Her paintings have been exhibited nationwide. Since 2018, she has participated in various group exhibitions. 

Through her art, she invites respect for the identity of different beings, which she believes is vital for the unity and security of our environment. In her artistic approach, she uses African symbols as well as shapes, lines and colors which, through their modulation in light and darkness, suggest messages, ideas and feelings.

She lives and works in Dakar as an art education teacher and occasionally works in the film industry as an actress.
