MBAYE SOW

Technique: Charcoal/Acrylic on canvas

MBAYE SOW

MBAYE SOW left school early to start painting. From an early age, he was immersed in an artistic atmosphere, where painting, plastic arts and drawing predominated.
He began by drawing sketches of baobabs. Later, he created his own paintings, influenced by his father Ousmane Sow, also a painter. Initially surprised by the novelty of artistic expression, he deepened his reflection by seeking the link between the brush and the pen, at the origin of the artist’s style.

Always in search of perfection and osmosis with painting, the artist broadens his techniques. The black pencil is thus completed by color, watercolors, acrylic. His work reflects the heritage of his country, exploring the historical character of Senegal’s ancient cities to increase their visibility.
