LOBÉ NDAO

Lobé Ndao is a visual artist born in Dakar. She graduated from the National School of Arts. Her originality lies in the use of a mixed technique using beads of different sizes and colors in collage or weaving. Her favorite themes are sacred masks, which are a guarantee of peace and security in Africa, and secular masks, which are more creative and whimsical. This year, Lobé proposes stripped down, black and white paintings as a testimony to her diverse African culture, including themes of: sewrubaa (Mandingo dance) with strong percussion, African women elegantly adorned in their most beautiful traditional finery, and modern family.
