DIOMAN

Dioman is a self-taught visual artist from Dakar where he was bathed in a colorful cultural environment. For him, Dakar is a vibrant city that captures light and life. Everything that surrounds him, from fast coaches to canoes via cloth and wax, is a source of inspiration for him.

Although he studied law at the University of Dakar Bourguiba, Dioman quickly understood that his essence was in art. He thus learned to hone in on the positive energy of the colors of life to transform them into concrete works. Guided by close artists who passed on their passion and know-how to him, he has drawn  inspiration from his peers and a difficult past to make art his antidote.

Her trademark is a light bulb present in each of his works, symbolizing light, a good idea, positivity and a belief that anything is possible. Dioman is an eternal optimist, in love with a touch of madness, who devotes all his free time to painting to convey his vision of the world on canvas.

Since 2018, Dioman has been exhibiting in many places and cultural events in the Senegalese capital, such as the Collectif Sunu Wa keur, Parcourt, the Almadies Ceramic Workshop, the DWG Art Show, Chez Lulu, the Hoop Galerie, the cube, the gallery by coup de tête, the Dakar Biennial and many others. He is also committed to causes close to his heart, such as the fight against breast cancer at the Musée de la Femme Henriette Bathily.

Dioman distinguishes himself beyond the borders by exhibiting three times in Mali, at the cultural place Taxi-Bamako. His has already exhibited in Amsterdam as part of the "Let's Talk About Art" project, and his clients and collectors are in the United States, Japan, France, Argentina, Italy and many other countries.
