PATRICIA ESTEVE
Technique: CYANOTYPE
PATRICIA ESTEVE
Passionate about images, Patricia Esteve chose photography as a means of communicating beyond borders. She has been working as a documentary photographer for some twenty years in Asia, Europe and Africa. She works with the media, institutions, NGOs and United Nations agencies. She also carries out educational projects and organizes participatory photography workshops, where the image becomes the tool for creating social change.
Text and image merge to create a photographic interpretation of Dakar. Using cyanotype, the artist interprets texts selected and handwritten by writer Ken Bugul. The aim of this collaboration is to use cyan to transport us to an inaccessible, dreamed-of and desired world. There is no present time, only emotions that take us to the corners of our memory where we keep our memories best.
