MAGATTE TOURÉ

Magatte Touré is a Senegalese visual artist born in Tivaouane, who graduated from the École Nationale des Arts de Dakar in 2005.  

He currently works as an art teacher and is in charge of the plastic arts and screen-printing workshop at the Centre Aminata Mbaye in Grand Yoff for the ASEDEME Association (Association for the protection of intellectually disabled children).

He defended his thesis on the theme of "l'habitat des Maures Nomades "exploitation plastique des accessoires"". Indeed, this theme guided his sensitivity to the environment, human conditions and nature.  

He has taken part in numerous exhibitions, workshops and residencies.
