KHERABA TRAORÉ

Mahamadou Kheraba Traoré, born June 6, 1987 in Vélingara, is a visual artist, video maker and animation film teacher at the École Nationale des Arts in Dakar. He discovered his attraction to drawing, shapes and colors at a very early age. His personal approach and the main subject of his work is the everyday life of children in general, this little being his source of inspiration. The vast majority of his work bears a visible message: the fight against the exploitation of children and the promotion of their rights.

Traoré is the winner of the 2021 WFP (World Food Programme) Grand Prize, and has taken part in several national and international solo and group exhibitions. Most recently, he took part in the AfriKin Art Fair in December 2023 in Miami.
